Joseph “Clark” Clark Bullock Jr. of Hardyston, formerly of Teaneck and Wyckoff, died Feb. 28. He was 89. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. Before retiring in 1982, he was an engineer with Ebasco Services in New York City. He was a parishioner of Saint Jude the Apostle R.C. Church of Hamburg and a former parishioner of Saint Anastasia R.C. Church of Teaneck and Church of the Nativity in Midland Park. He is survived by his wife Marguerite, his children Michael of Flemington, Anne Taylor of Wayne, Rita Krupa of Northfield, New Hampshire, and James of Jacksonville, Florida, eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and his sister Audrey Stanley of Wayne. He was predeceased by his daughter Mary Louise. Arrangements were made by Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff. Memorial donations may be made to Saint Jude the Apostle Church Building Fund or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 116 South Euclid Avenue, Westfield, NJ 07090. Jean Kakareka of Manchester, formerly of north Jersey, died Feb. 28. She was 92. She is survived by her children, Robert J. of Foster City, California, and Barbara Kakareka Latona of Mahwah, three grandchildren, three greatgrandchildren, and her niece Sally Jean Rebisz. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph R. Kakareka, and her grandson Justin J. Latona. Arrangements were made by Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff. Memorial donations may be made to the Justin J. Latona Scholarship Fund at Bergen Catholic High School in Oradell. Olive E. Kavanagh of Saint Petersburg, Florida, formerly of Ridgewood, died Feb. 21. She was 89. She had been a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel RC Church in Ridgewood and a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. She is survived by her children, Olive Johnson Tampa, Florida, Maureen Porod of Midland Park, Bill Kavanagh of Midland Park, Claire Gambale Tampa, Florida, and Peter Kavanagh of Morris Plains, 13 grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband William Kavanagh and her brothers Vincent Ball and Dr. William Ball. Arrangements were made by C.C. Van Emburgh Funeral Home in Ridgewood. Memorial donations may be made to the National Alzheimer’s Association or a local hospice of choice. Patricia N.R. Knott of Ho-Ho-Kus died March 3. She was 60. Before retiring, she was employed by American Express for 20 years. She later pursued a career in education working in the Ridgewood schools, Assumption Academy in Emerson, and Saint Elizabeth’s School in Wyckoff. She was a volunteer Brownie leader, art docent, and a Sunday school teacher. She is survived by her husband Ron and her children Jonathan Roth and Sarah Knott. She was predeceased by her parents Sarah (Seddon) and

Margaret Meixell, nee Coquerille, of Tucson, Arizona, formerly of Westwood, Ridgewood, and Lakehurst, died March 1. She was 87. Before retiring, she was a senior operator for PSE&G. She later headed Navy Lakehurst Engineering Center Telephone Depot, and had worked for the U.S. Department of Commerce in Tucson until 2001. She is survived by her children Elizabeth of New York City, Judith Bamper of Bethlehem, Pennsylania, Stephanie Wodyka of Bethlehem, Pennsylania, Daniel of Phoenix, Arizona, Timothy of Waimanalo, Hawaii, David of Glastonbury, Connecticut, and Kevin of Wadsworth, Illinois, and nine grandchildren. She was 54. She was a fashion designer for CTL Corp., in New York. She was the founder of Joan Rella Designs, LLC in Glen Rock. She was a member of Glen Rock Working Moms Play Group, and Saint Catharine Mothers. She is survived by her husband Jerome L. Rella, her children Katherine and Matthew, her mother Eileen (nee Kelly) and her siblings Eileen Bonica, Joseph and Edward O’Leary. She was predeceased by her father Francis O’Leary. Pace of Mahwah, formerly of Cresskill, died Feb. 25. He was 85. He was a Merchant Marine. He was a ship’s officer with Grace Lines, sailing routes to Scandinavia and South America. He was a member of the Paterson Rotary Club, and past president of the Hawthorne Rotary Club. He was a volunteer with the Wyckoff Ambulance Corps. He was a member of Abundant Life Reformed Church of Wyckoff, where he served as a Sunday school teacher, deacon, and elder. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth, his daughters Nancy Bassman of Scotch Plains, and Janet Wallendal of Wyckoff, two grandchildren, and his siblings Irene Wolkenmuth of Columbia, and Joseph of Flemington. Pastor Bert Watkins of the First Presbyterian Church of Ridgewood will present “The Book of Revelation: Horoscope or Horrorscope?” during the month of March. Various scriptures from these mysterious, apocalyptic final words from the New Testament will be presented, along with insights into understanding this popular book. Revelation is a work filled with surprises and comforting words for people who live in tough times. Ridgewood’s Old Paramus Reformed Church, 660 East Glen Avenue at Route 17 South, will offer the biblical story of “The Parable of the Lost Son,” at its March 14 10 a.m. service. The program will be narrated and enacted by a cast of 15. “Spirit Hour” children and their teachers will attend along with the parents and children of Little Ivy Pre-School, now in its new home in the OPRC Education Building.
