Each student researched a Roman emperor, designed a visual aid, and created a manipulative for the touch portion of the museum. As guests arrived, the students assumed the roles of their emperors and entertained visitors with lively first person Roman history and anecdotes. Guests were then invited to use the imaginative manipulatives, which included sampling Claudius’ ‘poison’ mushroom soup, tossing rings over Trajan’s Column, and breaking down Hadrian’s Wall.
