Page 6 THE VILLADOM TIMES II • January 27, 2010 Ridgewood Club sets date for Annual Spring House Tour The Junior Woman’s Club of Ridgewood will hold its Thirteenth Annual Spring House Tour on Thursday, May 13 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The tour, which is a charity event, will feature five unique homes located in Ridgewood. Interior decor styles range from eclectic to traditional. All homes feature design elements that are visually spectacular, making this year’s event one not to be missed. “The Junior Woman’s Club of Ridgewood is excited to present the 2010 House Tour,” said JWC President Bernadette Walsh. “This is always a very rewarding day for the members of our club. The homes this year are brilliant, each one unique in architecture and décor -- everyone will find a home that appeals to (his or her) own taste. I thank the owners for graciously opening their homes for this worthy event, and working with them has been a pleasure. Our House Tour Committee is dedicated to providing our community with a pleasurable day of touring homes while raising funds to support local women’s and children’s charities.” Participants will be able to enjoy lunch in downtown Ridgewood where there are various dining establishments. “In further support of our community, we have coordinated ‘dine-in’ and ‘take-away’ House Tour Specials with a number of local eateries,” Walsh said. “We encourage tour-goers to experience the full flavor of our village by sampling our wonderful restaurants and strolling through our vibrant business district.” The annual Spring House Tour is the largest fundraiser hosted by the Junior Woman’s Club of Ridgewood, a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the community. Over the past five years, the Annual House Tour, which typically hosts over 1,000 attendees, raised close to $250,000. Last year, the JWC awarded grants to over 24 charities, including Children’s Aid and Family Services, The Several Sources Foundation, Shelter Our Sisters, Baby Basics, Camp Sunshine, and Social Services Association of Ridgewood. Spring House Tour tickets are $40 per person and are tax-deductible. For further information, call The Woman’s Club of Ridgewood at (201) 444-5705 visit or www. jwcridgewood.com.
