Sherry Lynn Craighead of Oswego, New York, formerly of Upper Saddle River, died Jan. 13. She was 54. She was an artist. She is survived by her husband John Craighead, her children Adrianne Kropilak and Amber Cirillo, five grandchildren, her parents Harry and Betty Weiss, and her brother Kurt Weiss. Donald A. Holmes of Wyckoff, formerly of Packanack Lake, died Jan. 9. He was 62. He had been a fork lift operator for the American Bible Society for 36 years before working at Home Supply and Lumber in Hawthorne. He is survived by wife Karen, his children Michael of Mahwah, and Laura Smith of Hawthorne, and his brother William of Montoursville, Pennsylvania. He was 82. He had been an order clerk for Paulist Press in Mahwah for the last 10 years. Prior to that, he was a letter carrier for the Ramsey Post Office for 40 years. He was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers and a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Wyckoff. He is survived by his wife Carol Meyers (nee Comstock), his children Michael D. Meyers of Montague, Richard Holborow of New York, New York, Linda Darlington of Brandon, Florida, and Ginny Henderson of Hawthorne, nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren, Eleanor A. Andreycak and his sister, Helen Zlotucha of Greentown, Pennsylvania. He was predeceased by his daughter, Patricia A. Meyers, his grandson Matthew Meyers, and his sister Marjorie Conklin. He is a past member of the American Legion Post and a retired member of the Midland Park Fire Department. He is survived by his wife Sally of Brookhaven, Mississippi, his sons Joseph Rector of Midland Park, Donald Rector of Charlotte, South Carolina, and John Rector of Petal, Mississippi, and six grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph M. Rector Jr. and Emma Jones Rector, his sister Anna Fossa and his nephew Robert Stewart. Joseph Romanyk of Mahwah died Jan. 3. He was 50. The church is barrier free. ‘Holy Land Hardball’ screening offered The Glen Rock Jewish Center Men’s Club will present a special screening of “Holy Land Hardball,” a new documentary that follows an unlikely group of players and executives as they attempt to create the first professional baseball league in the Middle East. The program will be held Jan. 31 at 4 p.m. at the Glen Rock Jewish Center. Larry Baras, a Boston bagel maker, wanted to create a professional baseball league in Israel. Interfaith Bible Study resumes Glen Rock Jewish Center and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church are ready to launch their third year of free Interfaith Bible Study sessions with Rabbi Neil Tow and Pastor Roger Spencer. The topic for this year is King David: who he was and what his story means. All sessions are independent, and attendees can choose to come to any or all sessions. Classes are held the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. The class will meet at the Glen Rock Jewish Center, 682 Harristown Road on Jan. 26, March 23, and May 25; and at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, located on the corner of Rock Road and Ackerman Avenue, on Feb. 23 and April 27.
