Village’s senior center named for Patrick Mancuso
by John Koster Ridgewood’s Patrick A. Mancuso and his family were on hand as the Ridgewood Village Council officially named the room where seniors gather and election votes are counted as the Patrick A. Mancuso Senior Center. “It’s a tremendous honor and what is so special, as far as I’m concerned, is that it was given to me by the people of Ridgewood,” the former councilman and mayor said at the ceremony on Dec. 3. “In my heart I’ll always be a Ridgewoodite, and the reason is all the wonderful people who make the town what it is.” Mancuso is a graduate of Fordham University and served as a lieutenant (junior grade) in the U.S. Navy from 1960-93.
