Glen Rock December 1, 2010 THE VILLADOM TIMES II • Page 19 Family gathers donations for animal shelter Glen Rock’s Forer family -- Emily, Jarod, Judi, and Janet -- raised consciousness and cash for cats the weekend before Thanksgiving. They collected $488 and several boxes of cat food, cat toys, health and sanitary supplies for the P.A.T.C.H. shelter in Pompton Lakes. The project is a mitzvah, or good deed, for Emily’s bat mitzvah, and a chance to help animals in need. Emily has worked as a volunteer for four months at the shelter, where cats may be adopted or dropped off for adoption. The family was impressed by the generosity of Glen Rock residents who reached out to help their neighbors help animals. ��
