Hours will be Fridays from 6 to 9 p.m., Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Proceeds from the tree sales benefit the Ridgewood YMCA Good Works Programs. Good Works Programs include summer camp and program scholarships; Rainbows, which provides peer support for children who have experienced a painful family transition such as divorce, separation, or abandonment; Living Strong, Living Well, a fitness and strength training program for cancer patients and survivors; Learn to Swim classes for Paterson youths; youth mentoring; supported employment for special needs students; scholarships for families of deployed military personnel; and an autistic therapeutic recreation program. The award winning Harmony Celebration Chorus of Ridgewood, a local chapter of Sweet Adelines International, will perform at the Ridgewood Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday, Dec. 3 between 5:30 and 7 p.m. The group’s program will include holiday standards and a variety of other material in barbershop style. HCC, a regional first place winner and international competitor, has members from all over New Jersey and New York. The group is an all-woman, a cappella chorus committed to advancing the musical art form of barbershop harmony though performance, education, friendship, community involvement, and fun. Harmony Celebration Chorus is always seeking new singers to join its ranks. All ages and voice parts are welcome to audition. Rehearsals are held at 7:30 p.m. in Ridgewood.
