Page 14 THE VILLADOM TIMES II • August 25, 2010 Glen Rock Roundup Preschool registration open The Glen Rock Community School is currently registering for its preschool programs. The Terrific for Tots program includes Tots I for children who are 30 months, Tots II for three-year-olds, and Tots III for four-year-olds. (Ages are as of Oct. 1, 2010.) Children have the opportunity to explore arts and crafts, music, educational games, and perceptual motor activities and listening activities, while interacting with other children of the same age. The Mom & Tot program is open to parents and children of all communities. This program was developed to provide a special time for moms (or dads) and their toddlers. Speech and motor skills and social and emotional skills are developing rapidly in the 18- to 30-month-old, and Mom & Tots is designed to encourage growth in these areas through play and group interaction, while providing moms or other caretakers a forum for exchange of ideas and information. The classes are offered in two levels: Mom & Tots I for age 18 months, and Mom & Tot II for age 24 months. (Ages are as of Oct. 1, 2010.) The program is led by two teachers/degreed professionals. Registration must be made in person at the Community School, 600 Harristown Road, Glen Rock, in the lobby of the Glen Rock High School. The child’s birth certificate or passport must be presented.
