Before retiring, he was a certified public accountant with New York Life Insurance Co. He was a member of the Saddle River branch of the United States Power Squadron. He is survived by his nephew John B. Casson of Midland Park, and nieces Nan Farrington of Brainerd, MN, Robyn Erickson of Ho-Ho-Kus, and Janice Day of Seneca Falls, NY, and several grand-nephews and grand-nieces. She is survived by her children Tony Bonino of Ann Arbor, MI, Liza BoninoWaldman of Ridgewood, and Mara Murphy of Boca Raton, Florida, eight grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. A graduate of Alexandria University Medical College in Alexandria, Egypt, he had been a local physician for 53 years. He attended Hawthorne Gospel Church, Hawthorne. He is survived by his wife, Sonia; children John Hanna and his wife Nevine, Mary Hanna and Fadi Hanna; four grandchildren; and siblings Janette Abdou, Ezzat Hanna and Juliette Karas. An avid and dedicated runner, she was a former member of the Glen Rock High School Cross Country Arthur P. Bennett Team. Christiana was a supporter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in memory of her dear friend, Zachary Toskovich. A 2007 graduate with honors of Glen Rock High School, she was attending SUNY at Binghamton. Thomas Setnikar of Ridgewood died Aug. 4. He was 74. He received a degree in mechanical engineering from Pratt Lynne Morgan Institute, NY and designed may power and manufacturing plants, including the NutraSweet plant, the Splenda plant, one of the first ethanol plants and the first breeder reactor to live on U.S. soil for the U.S. government.
