The budget contains a special revenue fund of $1,168,134, and a debt service item of $3,337,051, with an associated tax levy of $2,933,183. The proposed budget would increase taxes by $367 on a house assessed at the village’s average of $799,500. Charles Reilly, a board veteran coming back after a fiveyear hiatus, and incumbent Michelle Lenhard are the only candidates in this year’s board of education election. Reilly, an attorney with the Federal Trade Commission, is a former trustee and board president who elected not to see re-election five years ago. “I think I have a lot of experience from my previous work on the board,” Reilly said of his decision to file for this year’s election. “I’m happy to be able to use that experience to preserve our excellent school system.” Lenhard, whose family operates a local business, was recently appointed to the Environmental Study Committee by the Ridgewood Village Council.
