Services for Seniors seminar slated Mill Gardens in Midland Park will host a free seminar, “Services for Seniors,” on Tuesday, Sept. 21 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. As people enter their senior years, they often worry about losing their independence and depleting their financial resources. Elder Care Options will answer questions and provide valuable information about services and resources for senior citizens. Ice Cream Social planned The Midland Park Christian Reformed Church and Faith CRC GEMS club will hold an Ice Cream Social on Tuesday, Sept. 14 at 7 p.m. at Midland Park CRC, 183 Godwin Avenue. All are invited. GEMS (Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior) is a relationship-building club for girls in grades one through eight. Girls participate in team building; enjoy dynamic singing, creative movement, and dance; develop important life skills through badge work; make crafts; participate in community service projects; and find answers to the Spin-a-thon benefit set Ethos will hold the Second Annual Spin-a-thon Sept. 24 from 6 to 8 p.m. The donation is $30 per 30 minute ride. MPHS Class of 1970 plans reunion The Midland Park High School Class of 1970 is holding its 40th Class Reunion on Saturday, Nov. 27 at the Hotel Westminster in Livingston. Fall tennis program offered Midland Park Recreation is offering a fall tennis program for children in kindergarten through grade nine. Sessions will be held at the Dairy Street Tennis Courts on Saturday mornings, Oct. 2 through 23. Fourth through sixth grade (intermediate) and seventh through ninth grade (advanced) classes will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. A clinic for students in kindergarten through third grade will be held from noon to 1 p.m. The cost is $40 per child, with a $70 maximum per family. Classes are designed to make learning tennis an enjoyable experience using skill-building drills, which teach players basic skills and rules of the game.
