Asian long-horned beetles have most recently been discovered at Faulkner Hospital in Boston, just across the street from the Arnold Arboretum. Beetles have been intercepted in American seaports and have been discovered attacking trees in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Illinois. Adult beetles are up to an inch and a quarter long with a jet black body and mottled white spots on the back.
