Dear Readers: Can you believe that summer is over already? From my perspective, time seemed to fly so fast that the summer went by in the blink of an eye. School has begun, Labor Day is past, and Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur are right around the corner. The Wyckoff Fire Department sponsored its annual fireworks last weekend. That display is always a wonderful welcome to the fall and the back to school season for the entire town, and especially for the merchants in Wyckoff. Summer is vacation time for many residents in our town. Now that most people are back to their regular work and home lives, I would like to remind everyone how important it is to support the Wyckoff businesses that also support you. Local merchants contribute to the schools, clubs, athletic teams, and organizations in our town by taking an ad in a journal, or making a contribution to the cause because it makes sense for us to support our community. In return, we ask you to support us when you need to pur-

chase something, want to eat out, or require a service. Almost anything that you could need or want can be purchased here in Wyckoff from a local merchant who is eager to give you outstanding service at a fair price. Please consider shopping locally before going to the Internet or the mall and highway stores. You will find a friendly atmosphere and local people you know and can trust. There are over 140 Wyckoff Chamber of Commerce members who are committed to serving this community. Please shop us first. I promise that you won’t be disappointed. Thank you for reading this message, and please check out our newly redesigned website (coming in the next few weeks) at www. wyckoffchamber.com. Remember: The annual Safe Trick or Treating event will be on Saturday, Oct 30 this year. Bring the kids in their Halloween costumes and enjoy this fun and festive annual event with us. Matt Brogowski, President Wyckoff Chamber of Commerce
