Among the listed performers are Lori Nydam-Vanderaa, Alan Newman, Melissa Kay, Radiant, and more. Rummage Sale set The Ladies Aid Society of the Wyckoff Reformed Church will hold a Rummage Sale on Thursday, Oct. 21 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the basement of the education building located at 580 Wyckoff Avenue. The sale will include clothes, jewelry, household items, knickknacks, toys, and more. Receiving days for donations to the sale will be Oct. 19 and 20. Story Time registration begins In-person registration for the Wyckoff Public Library’s story times begins on Thursday, Oct. 28 in the Children’s Room. Rhyme Time for children ages 12 to30 months and caregivers will be held Mondays at 10:30 a.m. on the following days: Nov. 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, and Dec. 6. Toddler Tales for children ages 30 months through three years and caregivers will be held Fridays at 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 5, 12, 19, 26, and Dec. 3, and 10. Anniversary Bash slated at ‘Y’ Everyone’s a star at the Wyckoff YMCA’s Anniversary Bash on Saturday, Oct. 23, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Y is rolling out the red carpet and celebrating at this annual event for the whole family. Kids will enjoy the karaoke contest, puppet show, and Zak Magic Show, in addition to music by Guitar Bob, a DDR “danceoff,” and “Minute-to-Win-It” competition. Strike a pose at the Papparazzi Photo Shop, and become a wild creature with the “Special Effects” face painting artists. Other activities include rides, games, crafts, and food. Tickets will be available for the Y’s productions of “The Nutcracker” and “Annie.” The Bash will be held rain or shine in the Y’s gymnasium at 691 Wyckoff Avenue in Wyckoff. Influenza prevention and Health Fair offered The Wyckoff Board of Health will conduct its Annual Health Fair and Influenza Prevention Program on Thursday, Oct. 21 at the Cedar Hill Christian Reformed Church, 422 Cedar Hill Avenue, from 1 to 4 p.m. Individuals must be at least 18 years of age to receive an influenza vaccination. This year’s vaccine will include protection from the H1N1 strain of the flu in addition to two other seasonal strains of the virus that are expected to be circulating in this area. Those who have Medicare Part B must bring their Medicare Part B card in order to receive the vaccination. The Wyckoff Board of Health, through a contract with Northwest Regional Health Commission will directly bill Medicare. Those who are 65 or over and do not have Medicare Part B should have the vaccine administered by their regular health care provider. Medicare HMOs will not be accepted. A $25 fee will be charged to those who do not have Medicare Part B. The following resources will be available at the fair: blood pressure screening, pulmonary function testing, glaucoma screening, audiology counseling, balance and fall risk assessment, body alignment, oral cancer screening, diabetes screening, home care and community resources, physical therapy counseling, social worker/elder care, mental health-stress management, depression and anxiety disorder screening, and prescription counseling.
