Held on Memorial Field behind town hall, the family fun-filled day featured children’s rides, vendors, pumpkin painting, scarecrow making, games, food, and entertainment. Founded in 1965, The Eastern Christian Children’s Retreat, a nonprofit organization, serves the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities through its congregate care center, community based group homes and short-term respite care. At Franklin and Vreeland there were seven crashes in 2007, two in 2008, four in 2009 and three thus far in 2010. Twelve of the drivers responsible for each accident were from out of town and a high percentage were over 50. At Franklin and Erie there were seven crashes in 2007, four in 2008, 12 in 2009 and none thus far this year. Nineteen of the drivers responsible for the accident were from out of town, with eight under 25 years of age and nine over 50.
