Before retiring, he was a sales director for the Penwalt Corporation for 35 years. He was a past president of the Franklin Lakes Board of Education, and a member of planning commission. He was a Little League coach in Franklin Lakes. He is survived by his children Robert, Jean, Carol, John, and David, and six grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife Anna J., his second wife Polly Beischer, his parents Fred and Jean, and his brother George. Arrangements were made by D’Elia Funeral Home in Lakewood. Celeste “Chee” Cervino, nee Fontanella, of Franklin Lakes died Nov. 15. She was 89. She was a registered nurse at Paterson General Hospital and Alps Manor Nursing Home. After retiring from nursing, she worked for Russ Berrie in Oakland until 1996. She was a member of the Alumni Association of Paterson General Hospital. She is survived by her brothers Andrew Fontanella of Crisfield, Maryland, and Dr. Stephen J. Fontanella of Toms River, 21 nieces and nephews, 32 great-nieces and nephews, and two great-great nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Frank Cervino, and her siblings Richard Fonanella, Loretta Massaro, Josephine Micozzi, and Alfred Fontanella. Before retiring, he was a sales manager for Equifax Services for 34 years. He was a member of Faith Reformed Church in Midland Park, and a member of the VFW Post in Midland Park. He is survived by his wife Betty (nee Dykstra) Hinnes of Midland Park, his children Cynthia A. Ver Hage of Midland Park, James Hinnes of Wantage, and Karen Vasile of Waterford, Virginia, seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and his sister Elizabeth Langendoen of Franklin Lakes. Elaine Lightenberg, nee Hartman, of Vero Beach, Florida, formerly of Midland Park, died Aug. 11. She was 82. She had been a volunteer with the Girl Scouts, Red Cross, and The Hermitage. She is survived by her children Robin Matthews and Steven Lightenberg, both of Vero Beach Florida, and Christopher Lightenberg of Midland Park, and five grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Roman Lightenberg. A memorial service will be held Friday, Nov. 26 at 10 a.m. at Advent Lutheran Church, 777 Wyckoff Avenue, Wyckoff. David P. Hinnes survived by her children Arthur M. Mercurio of Boston, Massachusetts, Lynda Buccola of Hawthorne, Melissa Dvoretsky of Wyckoff, and Judy Erdman of Wyckoff, eight grandchildren, and her brother John Pislor of Glen Rock. She was a nurse’s aide at the Christian Health Care Center in Wyckoff before retiring in 1990. She was a member of Cedar Hill Christian Reformed Church, formerly of Irving Park Christian Reformed Church. She was a member of the Eastern Christian Children’s Retreat Auxiliary. She is survived by her son Stuart Miller of Lafayette, daughter-in-law Rosemarie Miller of Chalfont, Pennsylvania, two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and her sisters Theresa Bushman of Wyckoff and Jean Zuidema of Haskell. He was a self-employed landscape contractor and owner and operator of Lawn Maintenance Service for over 30 years. He was a member of Hawthorne Gospel Church in Hawthorne, Wyckoff Fire Department Company #2, and the Wyckoff Fire Police, where he served as chief for 18 years. He was also a member of the Wyckoff Dorothy M. Mercurio Fireman’s Relief Association and the New Jersey State Dorothy M. Mercurio of Mahwah, formerly of Franklin Exempt Fireman’s Association.
