Midland Park Borough Administrator/ CFO Michelle Dugan has announced she will retire as of Dec. 31. She has held the dual roles of administrator/chief financial officer since 1996 and also served as tax collector and recycling coordinator. �� “I’ve had a 25-year career in public ser�� transition into somevice and am ready to �� thing else. Life is a continuum, and I’m moving into the next stage,” said Dugan, adding that she is ready for some “me time.” The borough council does not plan to hire one individual to replace her, according to Mayor Joseph Monahan. “The governing body has been assessing its options and benchmarking ideas used by other communities to fulfill her responsibilities,” he said. The borough is searching for a certificated CFO and a tax collector who can fill the positions on a temporary basis until a current employee can get certified, O’Hagan said. A graduate of the University of Connecticut, she received a master’s in public administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Of her 14 years in Midland Park, Dugan said she is most proud of administrative innovations that resulted in efficiencies in operations. “I was fortunate to have a mayor and council that fostered that kind of operation.
