Each week will feature a special theme. Camp will run Monday through Friday from June 7 through 25. Hours will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. After-care is available. For more information, call Diane Felt at (201) 444-3090. Tennis badges available Badges for Wyckoff’s tennis courts are now available at the recreation office on Woodland Avenue. Family badges (two adults and two children) are $50, one adult badge is $30, and one senior citizen badge is $20. The recreation office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. All Wyckoff residents who use the courts must have a badge to play tennis. Guests must be non-Wyckoff residents and a $5 fee will be charged. Court attendants will be on duty to ensure compliance and to sell badges to those who need them. Badges are not transferable. Court time is available on a first-come basis and use is limited to one hour when other players are waiting. Wyckoff Recreation sponsored tennis activities and programs have priority use of the facility. Memorial Day activities set The Annual Memorial Day Ceremonies and Parade, scheduled for Monday, May 31 will begin at 9 a.m. with the Firefighters Memorial Service at Firehouse No. 1, directly behind town hall. This service honors all deceased Wyckoff firefighters. A Veteran’s Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. on the lawn of the Wyckoff Reformed Church on Wyckoff Avenue, site of the township’s War Memorial. All local Gold Star Mothers, military veterans and the community are invited to attend the service and parade. In the event of rain, the parade will be canceled and the memorial service will be held inside the church. This year’s parade theme is “….Some Gave All.” The parade begins at 11:30 a.m. at the Cornerstone Church, at the intersection of Wyckoff and Russell avenues. The parade will leave from the Cornerstone Church, proceed down Wyckoff Avenue, turn right onto Main Street, right onto Franklin Avenue, left into town hall and conclude at the ambulance corps building. The staging area for parade participants is behind Cornerstone Church. Refreshments will be provided behind Fire Company #1 courtesy of the township council and parade committee. Republicans plan meeting The Wyckoff Republican League will meet on May 26 at 7 p.m. at the Larkin House, 380 Godwin Avenue. Anyone interested is invited to attend. The group will discuss 2010 events. The group meets on the fourth Wednesday of the month The league’s mission is to foster Republican ideals and present to the community those candidates from the Republican Party running for elected office in Wyckoff, Bergen County, and the State of New Jersey. Free CPR course offered Christian Health Care Center (CHCC) in Wyckoff is offering a free American Heart Association CPR Anytime program from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, June 8, in the CHCC Auditorium, 700 Mountain Avenue. Participants will learn the basics of CPR for adults, children, and infants and will take home a practice mannequin, DVD, and certificate of completion. Light refreshments will be served.
