MPCRC sets services Midland Park Christian Reformed Church at 183 Godwin Avenue, Midland Park will celebrate Holy Week with services on Good Friday at 7:30 p.m. This worship service will include special choral music. On Easter Sunday, April 4, there will be a 9:30 a.m. worship service with the Hallelujah Chorus and a 6 p.m. worship service. Nurseries are provided at all services. For more information, call the church at (201) 445-4260. Holy Week at Nativity The Church of the Nativity in Midland Park will celebrate Holy Week with several services. Holy Thursday, April 1, will start with morning prayer at 8:30 a.m. in the chapel. The Feast of the Lord’s Supper will begin at 7:30 p.m. and Exposition and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament from 9 p.m. to midnight in the chapel. Note that there will not be a 12:10 p.m. service on Holy Thursday. On Good Friday, April 2, morning prayers in the chapel will be at 8:30 a.m. Family Stations of the Cross, held outdoors if weather permits, will begin at 11 a.m. The Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion and Death will be at 3 p.m., and the Living Stations of the Cross at 7:30 p.m. in the church. There will not be a
12:10 p.m. service on Good Friday. On Holy Saturday, April 3, there will be morning prayers at 8:30 a.m. The Easter Vigil will be held at 8:15 p.m. with the Blessing of the New Fire and Baptismal Water. There will not be a 5 p.m. Mass on Holy Saturday. Easter Sunday (April 4) liturgies will be at 8 a.m., 10:15 a.m. and noon. Church of the Nativity is located at 315 Prospect Street in Midland Park. Easter week at Abundant Life Reformed The Holy Week schedule at Abundant Life Reformed Church, 475 Lafayette Avenue, Wyckoff will begin with the CareA-Lot Christian Nursery School Easter Program on Wednesday, March 31 from 10:45 to 11:30 a.m. There will be a light supper served at 6:30 p.m. on Maundy Thursday, April 1 followed by worship service and Communion. On Easter Sunday, April 4, an early morning service at 7:30 a.m. will be held outdoors, weather permitting. Holy Cross Lutheran announces Easter services Holy Cross Lutheran Church – LCMS is celebrating Holy Week with the follow-
ing scheduled services. On April 1, there will be a service with Holy Communion at 7:30 p.m. A Good Friday Tenebrae service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on April 2. The Easter Sunday (April 4) sunrise service will begin at 7 a.m. with an Easter breakfast immediately following. The second seating for the Easter breakfast will be at 9:30 a.m. The second service will begin at 10:15 a.m. with special music, and the worship service will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the story of the resurrection as recorded by Saint Luke. The service will include a children’s message on the real Easter, and Holy Communion. The church is located at the corner of West Ramapo Avenue and Route 202 south at 125 Glasgow Terrace, Mahwah. Advent Lutheran holds Easter services Advent Lutheran Church, 777 Wyckoff Avenue in Wyckoff, will celebrate the Easter season beginning with a 7:30 p.m. service on Holy Thursday, April 1, at which Jesus’ final hours will be recalled. On Good Friday, April 2, there will be a service of devotions, scripture, story, and songs at 7:30 p.m. A contemporary service will be held on Saturday, April 3 at 5 p.m. On Easter Sunday, April 4, the “Sonrise Service” will be held at 6:30 a.m. in the
Memorial Garden. There will be a fellowship breakfast from 7:15 to 9:15 a.m. followed by a 9:30 a.m. service of celebration and Communion. At 10:45 a.m., there will be an Easter Egg Hunt. Advent Lutheran is handicapped accessible and has assisted listening devices available. Cedar Hill Church celebrates season Cedar Hill Church in Wyckoff will hold a Communion Service at 7:30 p.m. on Good Friday, April 2. Rev. Norman Brown will discuss the question, “Did they have to crucify him?” On Easter Sunday, April 4, there will be a 10:30 a.m. service with special music by the Cedar Hill Choir and the Kingdom Kids Choir. Grace United celebrates Holy Week Grace United Methodist Church in Wyckoff invites everyone to experience “Grace at Easter.” There will be a live reenactment of Last Supper on Holy Thursday, April 1 at 8 p.m. and Holy Communion. soon as they realized the Shop Rite site plan would obviate the building where the DMV office is located. The Shop Rite would replace an A&P that has been vacant for more than a decade. The existing building would be razed and replaced by a slightly smaller new building that would be situated at a diagonal with the edge of the parking lot.
