This complimentary event will take place from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Eisenhower Middle School. Students will serve dinner and provide entertainment. Borst to discuss organic gardening The Wyckoff Environmental Commission is offering a presentation on organic lawn and garden care by Mark Borst, president and founder of Borst Landscape and Design of Allendale. The program will be held March 29 at 7:30 p.m. at the Larkin House, 380 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff. Borst will cover the central concepts of organics, and how soil health affects plant life. Parade participants sought Wyckoff’s Annual Memorial Day Parade Committee invites the men and women who have served our country, students in the local schools, churches, Scouts, and organizations to march in this year’s parade. Easter Egg Hunt set Grace United Methodist Church, 55 Russell Avenue, will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt on April 3. This year, the public is invited to join the group for breakfast. The morning will begin with a continental breakfast at 9:30 a.m., followed by a puppet show by Marian and Friends, featur- ing life sized puppets at 10 a.m. Since 1976, Marian Gehman, of Marian and Friends, has been entertaining as a ventriloquist throughout the northeastern portion of the United States. Her shows feature a variety of zany characters, audienceinvolvement, an inspirational message, and lots of fun. After the puppet show, children and their families will be invited outside to the lawn of Grace Church to hunt for chocolate filled plastic eggs that have been hidden in the grass at 10:45 a.m. The events are free. William Paterson announces Dean’s List William Paterson University in Wayne has named the following Wyckoff students to its Dean’s List for the fall 2009 semester: Matthew Borsellino, Francesca DAmico, Cynthia Ferrer, Mia Francia, Kurt Grube, Bridget Kozma, Andrew McLean, Joseph Occorso, Robyn Standler, and Dana Wizeman. In order to qualify for the Dean’s List, a student must carry a minimum of 12 credits for the semester and earn a grade point average of 3.45 or better. Winter Children’s Series continues The Wyckoff Family YMCA winter children’s series continues with “Harry the Dirty Dog” on March 28 at 2 p.m. Harry has everything a little white dog with black spots could want, but he hates taking baths. One day, he runs away and spends his time playing in the dirt. Harry gets so grubby that he turns into a little black dog with white spots, and returns home to find that his family does not recognize him. Participants sought for Wyckoff Day Wyckoff’s first ever Wyckoff Day is planned for Saturday, June 12 from noon to dusk at the Wyckoff Family YMCA. The event will include attractions, rides, crafts, hayrides, and entertainment, topped off by a free outdoor concert by the “B Street Band” – the original Bruce Springsteen Tribute Band. The official Wyckoff Day Committee members include: Judy Abma of Abma’s Farm; Matt Brogowski of The Wireless Store; Dave Connolly of Wyckoff Township Committee; Dale DeFino, North Jersey Newspapers; Howie Felixbrod, owner of Blue Moon; Joyce Kwiatkowski, Wyckoff YMCA; Lee Parker, owner of 3 Chicas Mexican Kitchen; Jennifer Sauer, Wyckoff YMCA; Kathy Scarpelli, Villadom TIMES; Dottie Van Der Horn, owner of Wyckoff Florist; Joy Vottero, director of the Wyckoff YMCA; and Andy Wingfield, Wyckoff Recreation Director. The event promises to generate positive visibility for businesses, civic organizations, non-profits, and clubs. Everyone is invited to participate, and there are many ways to be involved. The Wyckoff Day Committee needs vendors, sponsors, and volunteers to help make the kick-off event spectacular. Summer camp registration to begin Registration for the Wyckoff Recreation and Park Department’s summer camp program will be held March 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. and March 27 from 9 a.m. to noon. Both registrations will be held at the recreation office at the end of Woodland Avenue. The Wyckoff Summer Day Camp will be held at the Wyckoff Memorial Field and will run from June 28 through July 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Mondays through Fridays. There will be no camp on Monday, July 5. The camp is for children entering kin- dergarten through grade five in September. Camp activities include sports, games, arts and crafts, theme days, costume days, contests and tournaments, movies, parties, field trips, and entertainment by several professional performers. The cost of the camp is $80 per week and is for Wyckoff residents only. Registration materials, including a signed health and immunization record signed and dated by a physician, must be completed in full ahead of time and handed in during the above registration times only. These materials will be distributed through all Wyckoff public and private schools. For children who will be entering kindergarten in September and students who attend a school outside of Wyckoff, materials can be picked up in the recreation office. Yarn project registration begins Children ages seven and up are invited to the Wyckoff Public Library’s program “Spring Yarn, Good Fun!” on Thursday, March 25 at 3:30 p.m. Attendees will make one or two yarn projects and will hear an entertaining story. Dad’s Night Show announced The annual Lincoln School Dad’s Night Show will be held on Friday, March 26 at 7 p.m. at Lincoln Elementary School, 325 Mason Avenue. Skits have been submitted by Lincoln students for the dads to perform. The evening will be a great night out for all ages.
