(continued from previous page) Chamber of Commerce offers scholarships The Wyckoff Chamber of Commerce will award four scholarships to high school seniors who plan to further their education. Three $500 scholarships will be offered to students who are Wyckoff residents. The fourth scholarship of $1,000 will be awarded to the child of a Wyckoff Chamber member, or an employee of a Wyckoff Chamber member, regardless of the recipient’s town of residence. There is no eligibility restriction based upon a student’s high school. Applications are now available at local high school guidance offices or may be downloaded from the Chamber’s website, www.wyckoffchamber.com. Inserra to address Wyckoff Chamber Mr. Inserra from Shop Rite will address the Wyckoff Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, March 18. The meeting will be held at the Larkin House, 380 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff at 8 a.m. Inserra will speak about the proposed new Shop Rite for Wyckoff. Yarn project registration begins Children ages seven and up are invited to the Wyckoff Public Library’s program “Spring Yarn, Good Fun!” on Thursday, March 25 at 3:30 p.m. Attendees will make one or two yarn projects and will hear an entertaining story. Republicans plan meeting The Wyckoff Republican League will meet on March 24 at 7 p.m. at the Larkin House, 380 Godwin Avenue. Anyone interested is invited to attend. The group will discuss 2010 events. The league’s mission is to foster Republican ideals and present to the community those candidates from the Republican Party running for elected office in Wyckoff, Bergen County, and the State of New Jersey. Fundraiser coming up The Wyckoff Reformed Church Nursery School will hold its Sixth Annual Ladies Fundraiser on Thursday, March 25 at 7 p.m. in Heneveld Hall, 580 Wyckoff Avenue. The event will feature more than 20 vendors and many prizes including a flip video recorder, Kindle, iPod Touch, restaurant and store gift certificates, and more. Dad’s Night Show announced The annual Lincoln School Dad’s Night Show will be held on Friday, March 26 at 7 p.m. at Lincoln Elementary School, 325 Mason Avenue. Skits have been submitted by Lincoln students for the dads to perform. The evening will be a great night out for all ages. Tickets, T-shirts and a DVD may be purchased at www.dadsnight.com/2010-orderform. All proceeds from the show will benefit the music lab project. Pet licenses must be renewed Residents are reminded to ensure that licenses for their dogs and cats are up-to-date. The township is currently in the process of reviewing license records. To avoid the risk of being issued a summons, all licenses must be renewed before April 1. Each animal’s rabies certificate must be valid through October 2010. A $10 late fee is being charged in addition to the annual license fee. Dog and cat licenses are issued at the municipal clerk’s office in town hall, 340 Franklin Avenue. Foundation plans March Madness “March Madness,” the Wyckoff Education Foundation’s annual fundraiser, is scheduled for Saturday, March 20 at Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 467 Grandview Avenue, from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. Tickets are $50 per person. The evening will include auctions, interactive games, music, and food, all while attendees root for their favorite college teams during the broadcast of the NCAA tournament on large screen televisions. The Wyckoff Education Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of educational programs in Wyckoff’s public schools. Since its inception in 1990, the foundation has raised over $1,000,000, all of which has been awarded to the students and faculty in the Wyckoff schools.
