Page 10 THE VILLADOM TIMES I • March 17, 2010 Park Windmill Prayer group welcomes new members Midland Park’s Moms In Touch invites all mothers, grandmothers, and aunts of Midland Park school children to join them on Thursdays from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. to pray for the town’s schools, faculty, staff, and students. Moms In Touch is an international prayer group that encourages mothers to gather and cover their school district and children in focused prayer each week. Easter Egg Hunt set An Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Saturday, March 27 at the Dairy Street Recreation playground located on Dairy Street in Midland Park. The hunt will begin for children ages two and three at 1 p.m.; for children ages four and five at 1:30 p.m.; and for children ages six and seven at 2 p.m. Children should bring a basket to collect eggs. Parents are reminded to bring their camera for photos with the Easter Bunny. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be moved to the Midland Park High School gymnasium. Adult karaoke and volleyball planned Midland Park Recreation is sponsoring an adult karaoke and volleyball night on Saturday, March 27 from 8 to 10 p.m. The event will be held at the DePhillips Community Center, 50 Dairy Street. Board of education to meet The Midland Park Board of Education will meet on Tuesday, March 23 at 8 p.m. The meeting will be held in the August C. DePreker Media Center in Highland Elementary School. Beefsteak to benefit differently-abled Meaningful Moments, a non-profit organization providing developmental dance classes for differently-abled children and adults, will hold its Sixth Annual Beefsteak Dinner on Tuesday, March 16 from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Glen Rock. Tickets are $40 and include all you can eat filet mignon, salad, dessert, and beverages. There will also tickets for the prize baskets sold. Landscape design program offered Jacobsen Landscape Design will present a program on landscape design at the Midland Park Public Library on Thursday, March 25 at 7:30 p.m. Learn where to start with a plan, proper irrigation, patio design and materials, regional plantings, lighting, lawn care, and more. DAR hosts ‘Bustles & Businesswomen’ The Saddle River Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will present “Bustles and Businesswomen” on Monday, March 22 at 1:15 p.m. at the Midland Park Memorial Library, 280 Godwin Avenue, Midland Park. The program will highlight several notable businesswomen in history and intertwine their stories with a glimpse at the times in which they lived by blending women’s history with the history of fashion. Spaghetti Supper planned The Midland Park United Methodist Church will hold a Spaghetti Supper on Saturday, March 20 from 5 to 7 p.m. The cost is $8 per person, $3 for children. Children under age three will be admitted free of charge. Dinner will include spaghetti, meatballs, salad, bread, and dessert. The church is located at 269 Godwin Avenue.
