Police Department breaks up house party
The Wyckoff Police Department broke up a house party where beer and marijuana were being used. The 17-yearold boy in charge of the house in the vicinity of Monroe Avenue and Frances Place was charged with making a property available for the illegal consumption of alcohol. On May 14, at 9:33 a.m., residents of the area reported that teenagers were running through the yards in their neighborhood. Sergeant Michael Ragucci and Patrolman Ryan Tenney located a house where an unsupervised party was in progress. When the police arrived, 30 juveniles fled. Police found cans of beer, a bag of marijuana, and a marijuana pipe in the rear of the house. In unrelated incidents, police also arrested two individual motorists, a 22-year-old from Midland Park on May 15 and a 19-year-old from Ridgewood on May 18, on charges of drunk driving.
