(continued from page 3) that, although DeMaria did much to improve the borough’s internal controls, which he said are much better now, he did not think the borough was given good financial advice by DiMaria in terms of warning about the municipality’s financial condition. The professional appointments of a borough engineer, planner, and bond counsel are expected to be discussed and made at a future council meeting. Lustgarten is a partner in the law firm of Goodman & Lustgarten in West Orange and is currently the prosecutor in the Borough of Emerson, where he was previously the borough attorney. He is also the current special litigation counsel for the Borough of Fair Lawn, the attorney for the Englewood Board of Health, and the counsel to the Municipal Clerks Association of New Jersey. Ruderman has been representing management in all aspects of education and labor law since 1978 and he is a former associate counsel for the New Jersey League of Municipalities. Muhlstock is an attorney with the Fort Lee law firm of Gittlesman, Muhlstock & Chewcaskie and he is presently the tax appeal attorney for Fort Lee, Oakland, Dumont, South Hackensack, and Woodland Park. He has handled municipal tax appeal matters at the Superior Court and Appellate Division levels. Koenig is a partner in the Cedar Grove law firm of Stickel, Koenig & Sullivan, which concentrates on municipal law and land use. He has primary responsibility for affordable housing matters in his law firm and has represented no fewer than 15 municipalities in builder’s remedy litigation before the Superior Court in New Jersey. Lerch is a senior partner in the certified public accounting firm of Lerch, Vinci & Higgins in Fair Lawn where he specializes in matters pertaining to the governmental sector, which includes municipal governments, county governments, school districts, and public authorities. The firm also represents numerous authorities, redevelopment agencies, and not-for-profit corporations.
