Several drainage projects were completed as well, along with routine road resurfacing. The DePhillips Community Center was built on her watch, as was the salt shed at the DPW garage and the park and ride lot in Wortendyke. Many initiatives allowed the borough to maintain resident services in the face of dwindling resources, including forging interlocal agreements for court services, emergency services dispatching, and building department services, among others. After 25 years in public service, including 10 years in Wyckoff, Dugan said she plans to devote more time to her family and to personal interests that had been placed on the back burner. Dugan’s duties will be distributed among existing employees or performed through interlocal agreements with other municipalities or by part-time professionals with state certification. Borough Clerk Addie Hanna will assume the administrator duties along with her clerk responsibilities. Rudy Gnehm, the Department of Public Works coordinator, will take on the recycling duties. The borough is searching for a certificated CFO and a tax collector who can fill the positions on a temporary basis until a current employee can get certified, according to Council President Bud O’Hagan.
