Christmas Eve services announced The First Presbyterian Church at 15 Shuart Lane in Ramsey will host three Christmas Eve events, beginning with the Christmas Eve Pageant at 5 p.m. At 10:30 p.m. on Dec. 24, carols will sung by the First Presbyterian Men’s Choir, followed by a Candlelight Eucharist at 11 p.m. with the Chancel Choir. Candlelight Carol service set Franklin Lakes Baptist Church located at 649 Franklin Avenue in Franklin Lakes has set a 6 p.m. Christmas Eve Candlelight Carol Service. The regular Sunday services at Franklin Lakes Baptist begin with a 9:45 a.m. Bible study, an 11 a.m. morning service, and a 6 p.m. evening worship. Nurseries are available during all Sunday events. Holy Cross celebrates Christmas Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Mahwah has planned services for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. On Friday, Dec. 24 there will be a 5 p.m. Family Service, and at 10 p.m. the Traditional Christmas Service. There will be a Christmas morning service at 10:25 a.m. on Dec. 25. Church of the Nativity sets holiday services Church of the Nativity in Midland Park has announced its schedule of Christmas and holy day Masses. Five Masses are planned for Christmas Eve, Dec. 24. The Children’s Family Liturgy for families with small children will be at 3:45 p.m. A Mass for the differentlyabled will be held at 5:30 p.m. Eucharistic Liturgies will be held at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. At 9:30 p.m., the choir and congregation will sing carols before the 10 p.m. Mass. For Christmas Day, Dec. 25, Masses will be said at 10:15 a.m. and noon. The Feast of the Holy Family will be celebrated with Eucharistic Liturgies at 8, 10:15 a.m., and noon on Dec. 26. The public is invited to the Solemnity of the Blessed Virgin Mary on New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31, at 4 p.m. The Feast of the Epiphany will be observed on Saturday, Jan. 1 at 5 p.m. and on Sunday, Jan. 2 at 8 a.m., 10 a.m. and noon. Two services for families will be held at 3 and 5 p.m. All children present will have an opportunity to participate in a reenactment of the nativity. Cedar Hill holds holiday services Cedar Hill Church will celebrate Christmas on Dec. 25 with a 10:30 a.m. service featuring the Cedar Hill Choir, the Girls’ Choir, and the Handbell Choir. Rev. Norman Brown will present “What We’ve Been Waiting For.” On Sunday, Dec. 26, Rev. Brown will offer “Salvation of Our Savior” at the 10:30 a.m. service. A New Year’s Eve service will be held at 7 p.m. This service will include Communion. Cedar Hill Church, located at 422 Cedar Hill Avenue, has barrier-free access. Advent Lutheran celebrates the season Advent Lutheran Church, 777 Wyckoff Avenue in Wyckoff, has announced services for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. On Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, there will be 5 p.m. family devotions and a 10 p.m. Candlelight Communion. On Dec. 25, the Christmas worship service will be held at 10 a.m. Regular weekly services include a contemporary service held at 5 p.m. on Saturdays, and a traditional Lutheran liturgy and Christian education at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings. Christmas and New Year’s at MPCR Midland Park Christian Reformed Church will celebrate the Christmas season with special services.
