Before retiring, he was a certified public accountant with New York Life Insurance Co. He was a member of the Saddle River branch of the United States Power Squadron. He is survived by his nephew John B. Casson of Midland Park, and nieces Nan Farrington of Brainerd, MN, Robyn Erickson of Ho-Ho-Kus, and Janice Day of Seneca Falls, NY, and several grand-nephews and grand-nieces. He was predeceased by his wife Laura Krueger Bennett, and his siblings Donald A. Bennett, Geraldine D. Casson and Janet P. Bennett. Arrangements were made by Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff. She is survived by her husband Bernard; her children Lisa Basilio of Wilmington, NC, Philippe of Windham, NH, Kate Marincic of Purcellville, Virginia, and Christian of Westbrook, CT, four grandchildren, her mother Kate Gibbs, and her sister Pamela Bacon, both of Wayzata, MN. Alicia Mary Madigan of Wyckoff died July 29. She was 30. She was employed by the Maple Glen Center in Fair Lawn. Previously she worked at the Cerebral Palsy of North Jersey School in Livingston. She was a 1998 Ramapo High School graduate and recently completed her master’s course work in Occupational Therapy at Dominican College. She is survived by her parents Thomas and Mary Madigan of Wyckoff; her siblings Erin Vitale, Michael, Andrea, James, and Patrick; and her grandparents Philip and Evelyn Gaudiano, and Patrick Madigan. He was a customer service representative for Mercedes Benz of North America in Montvale for 15 years. He is survived by his wife Barbara (nee Silvan), his daughter Jamie, his father William of Ramsey, his sisters Frances Martorana of Sloatsburg, NY, and Jackie Howe of Tomkins Cove, NY. She was a marketing manager for Mcgraw-Hill Higher Education Publishing in New York City. She was a graduate of Boston University. She is survived by her parents Natsuo and Soko Okada of Lake Barrington, IL, formerly of Wyckoff, and her sister Haruko Okada of Cleveland Heights, OH. (Dittmar), his children James Jr. of Mahtomedi, MN, George of North Brunswick, Karen Pierro of Ramsey, and Deborah Chase of Strafford, NH, and two grandchildren. Stewart and his wife Patricia of Hawthorne; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jean De Bonis of Fair Lawn. She was predeceased by her husband, John Stewart in 1981. She was a member of the Waldwick Historical Society, the Rosary Altar Society, and Holy Name Society at Saint Luke’s. She is survived by her children Jane Tiernan of Stamford, CT, William Tiernan of Washington Township, and Robert Tiernan of Arlington, VA, and six grandchildren. David “Dave” Zuidema of Oneonta, New York, formerly of Midland Park, died July 30. He was 69. He had worked as a partner with his father in Zuidema and Son Trucking and Rigging for many years. After moving to Oneonta, he worked at Archer’s Building Supply, for Bernard Kaneg, at KMS Plastics, Glenwood Cemetery and for Bob Sharp. He was a member of the 6th Ward Athletic Club. He is survived by his wife Donna, his sons Darren of New Jersey and Kenneth of Brooklyn, NY, his step children Alan Wells, one grandson, three step-grandchildren, and his sister Lois Roam.
