KNOW BEFORE YOU BUY OR SELL
hen the time comes for you to sell a home, buy a home, rent, lease or to invest in real estate, take the time to select a professional to represent you full time. You look into which bank or investment company will handle your money … It is even more important to select a Professional Realtor who will protect your interest in any real estate transaction. Not all real estate sales people are Realtors, nor are they a fulltime practitioner. In a real estate transaction, thousands of your dollars are at risk, and the Realtor who represents you will have a fiduciary responsibility to you. You will be guided by a professional who abides by a National Code of Ethics and one who has spent multiple months in continuing training and educational classes just to prepare themselves to serve you better. Patrick “Bud” O’Hagan, SRES Patrick “Bud” O’Hagan is a fullSales Associate time Realtor with Terrie O’Connor Realtors in Allendale and is dedicated to serving your real estate needs. You might be a first time buyer, a renter or landlord, perhaps a homeowner desiring to sell your house or even a more mature adult who needs information, guidance and assistance in securing a retirement home; Bud is available for a private consultation at your home. There is never a fee for any consultation. Select the right Realtor and you can spend more time thinking about your next home and less time wondering if you’re making the right move. Professionalism is Bud’s duty to you. Give him a call today at 201- 201-825-0500x39 or visit www.NorthwestBergenHomes.com and rest assured you’ll be better prepared for your purchase or sale.

Great finds at Gingerbread Consignment Shop
aureen Wuerfel had worked at the distinctive Gingerbread Consignment Shop in Midland Park for 15 years when she became its owner a couple of years ago. “The former owners were closing it, and I thought it was worth it to keep providing the service to the community,” she explains. “The regulars encouraged me, because they didn’t want to lose it.” The shop’s ambiance is bright and relaxed. Wuerfel refurbished the storefront as soon as she took it over and says she likes everything about it, even the longer hours. “I very much enjoy the shop, the customers, helping people. The regulars have become Maureen Wuerfel friends,” she says. The Gingerbread Shop carries new and gently used quality clothing for women and children, including designer fashions and maternity wear. The stock comes from area residents whom the clothes no longer fit, or who received them as gifts and they didn’t suit their taste, or whose children outgrew them. Due to the shop’s reputation for quality merchandise at a very good price, consignees as well as shoppers come from as far away as New York City, Parsippany and Morris County. Wuerfel takes 20 items at a time on consignment, and conveniently, receiving hours are any time the shop is open. People may also bring in items on consignment and donate their share of the proceeds to a program for adults with autism in Paramus. The choice of beneficiary is no coincidence. Woerfel has been an active advocate for autistic programs for over 20 years, including running support groups. One of her three children is autistic, and she is well aware of the need for funding to support specialized programs. The Gingerbread Consignment Shop is located at 228 Godwin Ave. in Midland Park. It is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Stop by and surprise yourself with a great find.

Experience the convenience of shopping at home with Barefoot Carpet & Flooring
elcome to Barefoot Carpet & Flooring, where quality and personalized service is just a phone call away. Owner Thomas Faber, a lifelong resident of Midland Park, has been in the flooring business for over 20 years now, and if there is one thing that hasn’t changed is his dedication to bringing his clients the best service possible. Tom has recently turned his business back into a mobile shop-at-home service. “You can say that I’ve gone back to my roots,” says Tom. “I think we have all experienced it. You go out to look at different samples in a showroom, and by the time you bring them home, they look completely different. I have found that my clients would rather shop from the comfort of their own homes or offices, in the lighting and the atmosphere of the Thomas Faber room(s) they are decorating. Not only is this convenient for my clients, but it also allows me to do what I enjoy the most, which is helping out with the different shades and colors of flooring and being there to answer any questions that might come up. There is really nothing like the shop-at-home experience”. Barefoot Carpet & Flooring carries a wide variety of flooring, which includes carpet, vinyl, laminate, luxury vinyl tile and hardwood. Another great service we offer is our 0% financing for up to one year. For your convenience we are available during the day and evening. Call Barefoot Carpet & Flooring for an appointment at 201-445-5885 and get ready to sit back, relax and enjoy the luxury of shopping from your own home.
