The Chamber’s membership includes retail, professional, service and corporate businesses, both large and small. The Chamber’s local office is located at 65 Ramapo Valley Road, Mahwah. The Mahwah Public Library will present Heidi Hepler and Michéle Ramo’s “Italian Tapestry: Songs of Italy” on Sunday, Oct. 11. This voice and eight-string guitar duo will be performing at 2 p.m. Hepler and Ramo reflect a vast range of musical, cultural, and life experiences in their music. Ramo is Hepler’s orchestra, weaving rhythm, bass, harmony, and melody lines around her stunning voice. The two delight audiences as they “share the spirit and soul of their musical panache,” according to the Queens (New York) Tribune. This duo’s style has been described as “uncategorizable.” Their blend of classical and jazz cross-over styles make these Italian classics come to life, flowing like the Fountain of Trevi. Ramo, born and raised in Italy, met his wife Heidi who had been Songs of Italy to be presented living in Rome. Together they create a magical Italian tapestry. They will perform such classics as ‘Na Voce ‘ Na Chitarra E ‘O Poco ‘Luna, Guaglione, Munasterio ‘E Santa Chiara, Comme Facette Mammeta, Malafemmena, Anema E Core, Mamma, Torna A Surriento, Lacreme Napulitane, Core ‘Ngrato, Reginella, Na Sera ‘e Maggio, Cara Piccina, Love Theme from “The Godfather,” Lacrimi Siciliani, Arrivederci Roma, and Quant’é Laia La Me Zita. This performance is free. No tickets are necessary. Seats are on a “first come” basis. Doors will be closed when the program begins and latecomers will be admitted at the first convenient break.
