al Lauretta for Men has been a pillar of fashion throughout Bergen County since 1974 and continues to develop a loyal following among patrons who appreciate meticulously tailored suits, dress shirts and pants for work or more casual gatherings. Sal Lauretta and his father, Raffaelle Lauretta, co-founded Sal Lauretta for Men utilizing the fine tailoring skills they developed in Italy to customfit men’s suits and clothing. Since then, the store has gone through three different expansions and revitalized its brand offerings to provide a larger breadth of quality and selection. The name brands they carry - Hugo Boss, Jack Victor, Canali, and Ravazzolo, among others – have transcended through time for their classic, clean appeal while remaining relevant to current fashion Pictured, seated, Sal Lauretta. The latest change happened in the spring of 2006 when third-generation family member Ralph Lauretta developed a new niche within the store which brought an edgier attitude while remaining true to the traditional ideals of tailored clothing. The new RELM department highlights high-end, edgy apparel from top fashion headliners. Denim and ready-to-wear lines such 7 for All Mankind, True Religion, Robert Graham, Michael Kors, Nat Nast and Agave were introduced to diversify and reach a wider range of clientele. Again in response to customers’ demands, the shop expects to add a new department for boys and young men this fall, featuring suits and blazers as well as dressy party wear and accessories. By remaining true to the traditional values Sal and Raffaelle attained in Italy, Sal Lauretta for Men continues to provide personalized service, the finest quality tailoring and a wide range of clothing options. carpet ties your décor together like nothing else can, but to find that perfect carpet is no easy task. That is, unless you let Dave Zisa of David Anthony Carpets do the searching for you. With over a decade of experience in the business and contacts literally all over the world, Zisa can locate exactly what his customer – either a designer or a homeowner – needs, or he can have it custom-designed to their specifications. Honing his skills by dealing strictly with the handmade rug Dave Zisa importing trade, Zisa decided to open David Anthony Carpets five years ago to share his expertise with area homeowners. Originally on Godwin Avenue, he moved his showroom to 18 Goffle Road in the quaint Victorian building eight months ago, where the lighting is better to appreciate his handsome wares and the parking is more convenient. David Anthony Carpets carries a huge inventory of fine handmade carpets from every rug-producing country, from moderately priced decorative rugs to semi antiques to collectible antiques in traditional to contemporary designs. It also has a selection of handmade tapestries, pillows and ottomans. Customers may bring in their furniture or drape fabric swatches for Zisa to match, or he will make in-home consultations at no-charge. David Anthony Carpets also specializes in carpet repairs, fiber guarding and cleaning. His staff is comprised of old-world craftsmen knowledgeable in the handling of heirlooms to preserve their integrity and value. “They are the best,” Zisa says of his staff.
