Varsity wrestler Collin Hanley earned a fourth place medal. JV wrestlers Zach Walker and Doug Ervin earned fifth place medals. Sixth place medalists were Cole Kreshpane and Greg Altomare, both at the varsity level. Varsity wrestler Daniel Nelson earned a seventh place medal. JV place winners included (back row): Zach Walker, Connor Kolich, Chase Meola, Dylan Jacob, Eric Swedelson, and (front row) Niko Perrini, Spencer Ross, Zachary Spira, Robert Askew, Travis Arata, and Justin Walker. Mahwah’s Tri County (varsity and junior varsity) and Twin County (recreation) wrestling teams recently fared well in their league tournaments. In the varsity championship, Mahwah had 10 place winners out of 14 participants, including five finalists, and two champions. In the JV championship, Mahwah had 14 place winners out of 15 participants, including eight finalists, and two champions. In the Twin County District competition, Mahwah had three place winners, including two champions. The township also had one place winner in the Twin County Regions.
