He was 86. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. Before retiring he was pastor and a member of Ramapo Valley Baptist Church in Oakland. He is survived by his wife Venita (nee Cauchon), and his sister Joan Kovalysik. He was predeceased by his son Arthur T. He is survived by his children Joseph A. of Bentonville, Virginia, Kathe Crawford Alfred Bruno of Towaco, and Kristine Ziser of Pompton Plains, six grandchildren, one great grandson, and his brother Fred of Rockaway. She is survived by her children Fred of Wells, New York and Gary of Allendale, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Wilfred Paulsen. He was a 30-year member of the Waldwick American Legion Post #57. He is survived by his wife Jeanette, his children David, of New Windsor, New York, Christine of Bridgewater, and one grandson.
