Ramsey January 28, 2009 THE VILLADOM TIMES IV • Page 9 On Jan. 15 at 1:03 p.m., a caller to the Ramsey Police Department reported a possible drunk driver leaving a Main Street business. The caller provided a description of the vehicle, and Lieutenant David Stitz located the vehicle on Church Street. After observing a motor vehicle violation, a motor vehicle stop was conducted on Island Road. The driver had an odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and was unable to walk. At the conclusion of field sobriety tests, the 52-year-old Ramsey man was arrested for driving while intoxicated. Police Department Report The Ramsey Seniors have planned a bus trip to the Brownstone Inn on Wednesday, Feb. 11. The trip will feature lunch and the show “Let the Good Times Roll.” Sign up at Ramsey Borough Hall. The price is $40 per person. Ramsey seniors are invited to attend. Please bring proof of residency to registration. There will be two buses going into New York City on March 4 to see “South Pacific.” Lunch will be at Carmine’s. Signup begins on Monday, Feb. 2 at Ramsey Borough Hall. The price of $95 includes transportation, lunch, and the Ramsey Seniors plan bus trip show at Lincoln Center. This is a very popular event. Sign up early with proof of residency. The senior center is once again having growing pains! Improvements are in progress in the adjacent building and will house a pool table, and a game table suitable for cards. On Jan. 18 at 6:23 a.m., Officer Morris was dispatched to Cambridge Heights for a report of a stolen vehicle. Upon arrival, he learned the complainant had a bloody hand. When questioned, he stated he became angry that he could not find his vehicle, and punched a car in the parking lot. Upon completion of the investigation, the lost vehicle was found. A 22-year-old Saddle River man was arrested for criminal mischief. On Jan. 19 at 11:29 a.m., a 21-year-old Ramsey man was arrested by Officer Szelag for an outstanding traffic warrant.
