Jim “Bear” Gaucher of Mahwah, formerly of Ramsey, died Dec. 6. He was 50. He was a member of Bethany Church in Wyckoff. He is survived by his mother, June Gaucher, his siblings Robert, Kenneth, and Kathleen Schork, and 10 nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Clairmont “Sonny” Gaucher. Russell Horner of Mahwah died Dec. 4. He was 92. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of WWII. Before retiring he was a personnel officer with Chase Manhattan Bank in New York City where he worked for 35 years. He is survived by his wife Ann, his children Catherine Olsen, Russell, Karen Allen, Kevin, and Pamela Moran, 11 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and his sisters Ruth and Barbara. Before retiring in 1989, she had been employed by the Ramsey Golf and Country Club. She was a parishioner of Immaculate Heart of Mary RC Church. She was an exempt member of the Ladies Auxiliary Mahwah Fire Company #2 and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW #7124. She is survived by her children Audrey Mankiewicz and Maria Himber, two grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and her brother Emil Iglody. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond Mankiewicz. Phillips of Mahwah died Dec. 9. He was 55. Before retiring his was a police officer with the Mahwah Police Department for 25 years. He was a state delegate for PBA Local 143 and recording secretary for 16 years with the Bergen County Executive Board. He was employed in security with Pierson Lakes. He was a student at William Paterson University. He is survived by his wife Debra (nee Schwartz), his daughter Marissa, his mother Anne Phillips Olsen, stepfather Lars Olsen, and his siblings Stephen, and Kathleen Spitaleri. Russo, nee Ciulla, of West Milford, formerly of Waldwick, died Dec. 3. She was 86. She recently retired from Bald Eagle Manor Builders as a sales associate. Previously she had been a service representative for New Jersey Bell in Ridgewood. She was a parishioner of Queen of Peace R. C. Church in West Milford and a former member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She is survived by her husband Joseph M. Russo, her children Gail A. Rifflard-Krumscheid of Ringwood and Mark W. John “Jack” C. Anderson of Ramsey died Dec. 7. He was 79. He was a Scoutmaster of Troop 13 in Montclair and a member of the Old Guard of Camp Glen Gray. He was a member of the Barbershop Society for 50 years, participating in quartet and chorus activity, and making appearances throughout the United States. He was the recipient of the Gold Note Award 28 times for member recruitment. He volunteered with Sharing Network. He is survived by his wife Carol, nee Meletta-Brolsma, his children Laura Archdeacon, John C. Anderson Jr. and William Anderson, his stepdaughters Carol Krajicek, Bonnie Brolsma, and Nancy Longo, 10 grandchildren, and his siblings Robert, Parma Kersten, Treva Thornton and Gleda Anderson-Marthens. She is survived by her children Russell Clark of Ridgewood, and Nancy White of Bethesda, Maryland, four grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband George W.
