Broadway’s greatest farce is light, fast-paced, witty, irreverent and one of the funniest musicals ever written - the perfect escape from life’s troubles. “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” takes comedy back to its roots, combining situations from time-tested, 2000year-old comedies of Roman playwright Plautus with the infectious energy of classic vaudeville. The result is a non-stop laugh-fest in which a crafty slave, Pseudolus, struggles to win the hand of a beautiful but slow-witted courtesan, Philia, for his young master, Hero, in exchange for freedom. OnStage, Inc. is a summer program in its 36th season for local high school and college students. Ramsey High School is located at 266 East Main Street in Ramsey. Tickets will be available at the door. Crossan acknowledged that Slot had raised some good points, but he asked Slot if he would agree there is a difference in emissions between the current and the proposed conditions at the Pilot site. Slot said he did not doubt the modeling Crossan used, but he questioned his source of his information. “I’m concerned about health and safety, but I am also concerned about the right to use property,” Slot said. “I’d be more comfortable if your measurements were based on this (the Pilot) site.” The public hearing on the Pilot application will continue Aug. 26 at 3 p.m. Bryan Lucas (Pseudolus), Ryan O’Keefe (Hero), and Alanna Smith (Philia) rehearse with musical director Deborah HoldenHolloway for the OnStage production of ‘A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.’ Stay on top of commercial building maintenance Coming October 14th! in business A Pictorial Supplement to The Villadom TIMES Introduce that special woman in your organization to the community.
