The Mahwah Schools Foundation will hold its Tenth Annual Golf Classic on Monday, May 18, at the Apple Ridge Country Club, 269 East Crescent Avenue, Mahwah. Co-chairs John D’Anton and Angela Clarkin have announced that this year, to commemorate reaching the $1 million milestone of contributions and grants to the Mahwah schools, the foundation will recognize all past honorees, including Stryker Corporation, Secor Farms, Mahwah Mayor Richard Martel, former Superintendent H. Murray Blueglass, former Foundation Principal Advisor Dr. Patricia Hanratty,

Mahwah Education Association President Kathy Schal, and the Mahwah Municipal Alliance. This event will begin at 11 a.m. with registration, golfers’ lunch, and a 12:30 p.m. tee-off. A ladies’ luncheon will take place at 12:30 p.m., and the day will continue with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner and honoree recognition at 7:30 p.m. There will be prizes and a basket giveaway. According to Foundation President Clarkin, this event traditionally sells out, so register early. Mahwah Chamber plans cruise
The Mahwah Regional Chamber of Commerce will hold a Dinner and Networking Cruise on the “Spirit of New Jersey” for members and non-members on Wednesday, May 6 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. from Lincoln Harbor in Weehawken. The event will be held in conjunction with the following business organizations: Meadowlands Regional Chamber, Newark Regional Business Partnership, North Jersey Regional Chamber, and the Tri County Chamber of Commerce. The cost is $50 per person for Chamber members ($65 per person for nonmembers) and includes a dinner buffet, a cash bar, and a DJ and dancing. Prepaid registration is required; an additional $5 processing fee will be charged if paid the day of event. Space is limited.
