Page 8 THE VILLADOM TIMES IV • April 1, 2009 Mahwah Schools foundation hosts successful fundraiser The Mahwah Schools Foundation’s recent Black and White Starry Night fundraiser attracted nearly 210 teachers and administrators, sponsors, parents, trustees, and friends. Each year, this event is held for the purpose of raising funds to enhance the curriculum of Mahwah school district’s six public schools through teacher grants. Prizes included over 100 gift baskets, over 20 auction items, a flat panel TV, an evening in New York City, a WII gaming system and WII fit system, and a sterling silver bracelet with a jeweled clasp. The event was held at Seasons in Washington Township and entertainment was provided by Bill Jordan and his band, Presence. The Mahwah Schools Foundation is supported by many generous sponsors such as local corporations Inserra Supermarkets, Sharp Electronics, Stryker, and Gala table sponsors Formulation Business Systems, Mahwah Education Association, Optimum Lightpath, and Ramsey Auto Group.
