Page 4 THE VILLADOM TIMES IV • April 1, 2009 Ramsey Some 100 members and guests of the Ramsey Ambulance Corps recently gathered at The Brick House in Wyckoff for the organization’s 55th Annual Recognition Dinner. RAC Chief Brian Behrmann introduced event CoChairmen Erik Bergsten and Laura Berhmann, and then introduced special guests. In attendance were Councilmen Arthur Nalbandian and William Jones, who serve on the Public Safety Committee. Borough Administrator Nicholas Saros, OEM Coordinator Michael Adams, Ramsey Police Department Chief Bryan Gurney, Ramsey Fire Department Captain Randy Sterbinsky, and Ramsey Rescue Squad Chief Jonathan Krehel were also present. Paula Weiler, northern area vice president, represented the New Jersey State First Aid Council. Chief Berhmann introduced life members who were present, including Michael Adams, Steven Ahlstedt, Jeanette Coviello, Mary Carol Ditaranto, Judy Highberger, Jane Simon, Jan Simon, Gladys Terry, Holly Walker, and C.B. Young, who received a special plaque for 35 years of dedicated service. Behrmann was inducted as the newest life member. Honorary members attending included former Chief of Police Norman Stegen and Steven Ahlstedt. A moment of silence was observed for deceased members Kathy Wild, John Fillmore, and Michael Warnet. Michael Adams then offered the invocation. New members who recently joined the corps include Frank Alcaro, David Brown, Erik Endress, Daniel Foster, Kevin Fuchs, James Gatti, John Houston, Connor Jewett, Jen Mathiesen, Andrew Parneros, Brendan Sterbinsky, Brian Sundermann, Craig Whitehead, and Catherine VanDeWeghe. The Chief’s Award went to Recording Secretary Peggy Warnet and Head Trustee Sean Matro. The President’s Award was given to William Lara, who served as president in 2008. Annette Young was the recipient of the Leslie D.
