On Sunday, Sept. 27, the Waldwick Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the Sixth Annual Waldwick Day from 12 to 4 p.m. at 9-23-09 Ester/Janine Borough Park. Waldwick Day features WaldwickDayBanner family entertainment, a host of activities, and multiple 6 x .75 will be offering a variety of vendors who items for sale. Waldwick businesses, civic groups, and volunteer organizations will have booths set up to introduce themselves to the community and give out items. Food will be available from the following local eateries: Italian Riviera, Old Towne Deli, Angeliki’s Gyro and Grille, La Vie En Rose Bakery Cafe, Reinhold’s Bakery, Take Away Gourmet and Energy Zone Café. This is a great opportunity to sample all the local specialties Waldwick has to offer and to meet local service providers. Attractions and entertainment will include: a trackless train, face painters, chair massages, carnival games, prizes, martial arts demonstrations, clowns and magic tricks. A DJ will provide music throughout the afternoon. Pie eating contests are scheduled for 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. The Duck Derby, sponsored by the Waldwick Lions Club, will begin at 3:30 p.m. As a special thank you to the business community, the chamber is offering a discounted membership fee of $90 (instead of $100) to any business that signs up on Chamber sponsors Sixth Annual Waldwick Day Scenes from the 2008 Waldwick Day celebration. Community residents are invited to the Sixth Annual Waldwick Day, which is coming up this weekend.
