September 16, 2009 THE VILLADOM TIMES III • Page 11 Waldwick Watch Winberry exhibits at library The paintings of Alice Winberry will be displayed at the Waldwick Public Library through Saturday, Oct. 31. Entitled “Varieties of Watermedia,” the exhibit demonstrates the many ways of approaching a subject through the use of different processes and materials. From minimalist painting and abstract expressionism to the endearing realism of pet portraits and Beatrix Potter’s form of illustration, Winberry’s paintings demonstrate her expertise with acrylics, watercolor, gouache, pen and ink, graphite, gold leaf, and crystals. A resident of Oakland, Winberry is an accomplished professional artist experienced in a variety of media and styles. Her large body of work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions and has received many awards in juried shows. Winberry has studied art at the Ridgewood Art Institute, William Paterson University, the School of Visual Arts, The Art School at Old Church, Bergen Community College, Jersey City State College, and with many other professional artists. She has conducted art workshops for students of all ages and offers her services for commissioned fine art, commercial illustration, and family and pet portraits.
