Page 8 THE VILLADOM TIMES III • November 25, 2009 Emmanuel asks... Can You Help? know who might be willing to help us. All it takes is a few clicks. Thank you! We have a family who lives in Chester and we need a driver to deliver food to them once a month. The holidays are coming: The children of Emmanuel Cancer Foundation have given us their wish list for a holiday gift. If you would like to adopt a child for the December holidays, please call us at (201) 612-8118. Please consider donating non-perishable items for a December holiday dinner for one of our families. You can also save time and purchase a gift card to any chain grocery store to donate. Figure out what it would cost to buy the ingredients for a holiday meal, including the turkey or ham, for a family of six. The amount of the gift card could be anywhere from $40 to $60 for the basics, or higher if you add in any extra things. If you prefer, you can put together a basket, bag, or box of non-perishable foods Our hat’s off to Knights of Columbus Pope John XXII Council 5498 for the recent contribution for Thanksgiving baskets. We acknowledge the knights for their longtime and continual support. We also thank Eastern Christian Elementary School and Faith Reformed Church for their recent food drives for our food pantry.
