Family Hair Care in Midland Park is collecting blank holiday cards and writing paper to be sent to our soldiers in Iraq. The family of Major Michael Feeney of Ridgewood will then send the items collected to Major Feeney, who will distribute them to the soldiers in his unit so they can correspond with their loved ones at home for the holidays. Family Hair Care owner Emmy Eliya stressed that the cards need not be boxed. She said this is an ideal opportunity to donate surplus cards or loose cards left over from previous years. The deadline for dropping off the cards at the salon, 222 Godwin Ave., Midland Park is Dec. 1.
