Woman’s Club marks anniversary The Woman’s Club of Upper Saddle River is marking its 55th Anniversary this year. Rather than host a party to host this milestone, the club’s membership has decided to use its funds to purchase a Protech Tactical First Responder kit for the police department. Each kit includes a shield, helmet, and chest plate designed to be put on in one unit. This is the most advanced tactical personal protection gear for law enforcement. Currently, there is only one other kit available to the police department. During the annual convention of the NJSFWC two club members, Rose DeBerardine and Carol Finnerty, were placed on the State Honor Roll for exceptional achievement in their club work. The Woman’s Club of Upper Saddle River welcomes new members. This group is dedicated to using knowledge and talent to benefit local communities and organizations. For more information, call Barbara at (201) 825-0207. The group will hold a dinner meeting on June 9 at 7 p.m. at the Brick House in Wyckoff. is “Crocodile Dock: Where Fearless Kids Shine God’s Light.” All children are welcome at this interdenominational Christian program. Children will participate in God’s amazing Bible adventures and learn to watch for God in everyday life. Each day, the children will sing songs, play team-building games and enjoy snacks at the Snack Shack. They will collect Bible Memory Buddies like Jacques Le Croc, the friendly crocodile who shows that God is powerful. They will also create Crawfish Crafts to take home. Preschoolers will enjoy a special program designed just for them. The children will join nearly a million other kids by taking part in a mission project of providing stuffed turtles, known as Comfort Critters, to children worldwide who have been victims of natural disasters. The cost for the week is $25 for Bergen Highlands children, and $35 for all others. After July 15, the cost increases to $45 for non-Bergen Highlands children.
