Allendale March 11, 2009 THE VILLADOM TIMES III • Page 3 Peter Diestel of Allendale has been promoted to chief operating officer at The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. In addition to his new role, Diestel will continue to serve as senior vice president of administration. In his expanded role, Diestel will oversee all the day-today operations of the hospital. Diestel joined Valley in 1994 as vice president of administration and has overseen many clinical, administrative, and support departments, and key functions such as technology and space assessment and the operations group. He also served for a number of years as vice president of practice management for Valley Health System and as president of Valley Health Medical Group. Borough man named chief operating officer at Valley He was instrumental in establishing the Ridgewood Academy for Health Professions, which has been designated as a “Model Academy” by the National Career Academy Coalition. The academy, a collaborative program developed by Ridgewood High School in partnership with Valley Hospital and Bergen Community College, is geared toward students interested in pursuing a career in the health and medical fields. Diestel received a bachelor of arts degree in political science from the University of Vermont and a master of public health degree from The Columbia University School of Public Health. Join neighbors and friends for this evening social, which includes cocktails and hors d’ouevres with the whole group, then scale down and travel to an intimate dinner party to get to know fellow dinner partners. Afterward, the entire group will meet up Progressive Dinner set for March 28 again for dessert. The cost is $100 per couple; payment is due by March 20.
