Board approves funding for summer music program
The Allendale Board of Education has approved funding for the summer school music program with stipends approved for supervisors and teachers in the program. The program will be held at the Brookside School to revisions in the instructors’ approved pay subject to new enrollment figures for the summer program as approved at the July 14 Allendale Board of Education meeting. Collette Mather will receive $3,000 for administrative duties and $1,875 for teaching. Joshua Lopes will receive $5,320 for teaching, Brian Princing will receive $5,000 for teaching, Dennis Puzak will receive $4,640, Kelly Lopez will receive $4,620, Allyse Turdo will receive $3,750, Kelly Goodwin will receive $2,394, Suzanne Trupia will receive $1,710, Dana Holm will receive $1,520, Adam Milano will receive $900, and Patricia Hillman will receive $700 as the designated registered nurse for the summer program. The board also voted to approve three Saddle River students and an Upper Saddle River student as tuition students, and to receive the child of an Allendale teacher at a reduced tuition rate. J. Allendale Festival Day is October 3
The Allendale Chamber of Commerce will again be hosting its Annual Festival Day on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009 from 10 a.m until 4 p.m.. West Allendale Avenue will become a walking mall for families to enjoy the day with vendor craft tables • food • giveaways • live music for all ages • children’s entertainment • games • community organizations • exhibits • temporary tattoos • petting zoo • moonwalk • pumpkin painting • clowns and witches.
