Margaret “Peggy” M. Feerick, nee Smith, of Mahwah died July 4. She was 90. She was a Carmelite. Before retiring, she was employed at Ramapo College in Mahwah. She is survived by her children John Brian Feerick and Martha Hamilton and one grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband John A. Feerick. Arrangements were made by Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home in Ramsey. Karen Mae Forsyth of Wyckoff, formerly of Oakland, died July 4. She was 64. She was a flight attendant with American Airlines and previously with TWA for over 30 years. She was a volunteer and former board member with RBARI in Oakland for 35 years. She is survived by her husband Robert Forsyth, her children Jeffrey and Andrew Forsyth, and her sister Christine Bakalis of Santa Cruz, California. Patricia Twomey Galliers of Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, formerly of Glen Rock, died July 3. She had been a volunteer at the Valley Hospital, Saint Catharine’s Rosary Altar Guild and PTA. She is survived by her children Enid Galliers of Silver Spring, Maryland, Marshall Galliers Jr. of Chesterfield, Missouri, and Mona Salisbury of Palm City, Florida, and four grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Marshall. Arrangements were made by Donohue Funeral Home in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Harry Getchell of Wyckoff, formerly of Waldwick and Paterson, died July 4. He was 78. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. Before retiring, he was a cable operator for Western Union International in New York City from 1961 to 1984. After retiring, he volunteered as a crossing guard in Wyckoff. He is survived by his wife Dolores, his son Frank of Suffern, New York, two granddaughters, and his brother George Biangardi of San Antonio, Texas. He was predeceased by his siblings Robert, William and Mary. Arrangements were made by Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff. Kathryn Ritchie Myer of Charlotte, North Carolina, formerly of Mahwah, died July 6. She was 92. Before retiring, she was a registered nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, New York. She was a past president of Paterson General Hospital Nurses Alumni and a charter member of the Evening Department of the Woman’s Club of Mahwah. She was active in the Mahwah High School Scholarship

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He owned and operated Cavalla, Inc., a cosmetic and pharmaceutical manufacturing company in Hackensack for more than 50 years. He was a parishioner of Most Blessed Sacrament R. C. Church in Franklin Lakes. He is survived by his wife Jean, nee Coniglio, his daughter Gina of Franklin Lakes, three grandchildren, his mother Helen, nee Biggi. He was predeceased by his father Umberto Neri. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. Before retiring he was a sales executive for JVC Corporation of America, previously he worked for Sony Corp, Ampex, and Allan Dumont Laboratories. He is survived by his daughters, Candace Ahto of Florham Park, Robyn O’Brion of Garfield, and Kimberly O’Brion of Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was predeceased by his wife Barbara, nee Frank O’Brion. Before retiring in 1993, he was a pressman with Crown Cork and Seal of Ridgefield Park. He was a U.S. Marine veteran of the Korean War. He was a charter member of the Knights of Columbus Council 5398, Midland Park. He was a parishioner of Church of Nativity in Midland Park. He is survived by his wife Joan, his children Kathryn Healy of Ringwood, Joan McDonagh of Ringwood and John J. Powers, Jr. of West Milford, seven grandchildren, and his sisters Martha Spiess and Margaret Fitzgerald. Arrangements were made by Olthuis Funeral Home in Wyckoff. Belinda J. Shalaby, nee Grabley, of Glen Rock, formerly of Emerson, died July 4. She was 53. She was a registered nurse at Pascack Valley Hospital for over 25 years. She is survived by her husband Nicholas her children Angelica, Tiara, and Nicholas IV, her parents Paul and Alba Trabert of Elmwood Park, and her sister Janice Sandler of Waldwick.
