Page 4 THE VILLADOM TIMES III • January 14, 2009 Ho-Ho-Kus Borough council reorganizes; Mongelli named president The Ho-Ho-Kus Council recently reorganized with John Mongelli as 2009 council president. Mongelli replaces Councilman Gordon Hamm, who held the post in 2008. The new council president was reelected to the governing body last November along with running mate Maryellen Lennon. Both Republican candidates ran unopposed, and have been sworn in to their new three-year terms on the borough council. Mongelli is a 30-year resident of the borough. He is a graduate of Long Island University, where he received a BS in marketing and advertising. He is president of John R. Mongelli & Associates, Inc., a marketing, communications, and graphic design firm in New York City. He also owns The Crystal Vineyard, an Internet-based concern. Mongelli has previously served as council president. In that role, he is called upon to chair the council’s meetings in the event that Mayor Thomas Randall is absent for any reason. This year marks the beginning of Lennon’s second term on the council. She has been a borough resident for 30 years. She is a graduate of Saint Joseph’s College and was previously employed as an elementary school teacher. The borough council meets in Ho-Ho-Kus Borough Hall, 333 Warren Avenue, Ho-Ho-Kus on the third and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 8 p.m., unless otherwise n oted. J.
