She is survived by her husband Curts, her children Al, Dave, Jeff and Ken, 10 grandchildren and her siblings Edward Campbell and Ruth Ann Campbell. He was an operating engineer for Local 825 in Springﬁeld. He was a parishioner at Saint Luke’s RC Church in HoHo-Kus. He is survived by his wife Marian, his daughters, Donna Lee Cordes of Hillsdale and Michelle Magrino of Cresskill, ﬁve grandchildren, and his siblings Micheal La Corte of Clifton and Charles La Corte of Melbourne Beach, FL Josephine Swan of Matamoras, PA. Gilsenan of Saddle River died on Jan. 4. He was 90. He was the founder of Gilsenan and Company, and established the Multiple Listing Service in Bergen County. He was chairman of the board of the Jersey Bank for Savings of Montvale and River Edge. He established the Knights of Columbus in Ridgewood. He was a member of the Chamber of Commerce, and the Ridgewood Planning Board. He was a former parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Ridgewood, and current parishioner of Saint Gabriel’s in Saddle River. He is survived by his wife Gladys, nee Bonaldi, his children Richard III of Waldwick, Mary Gilsenan Lanni of Ho-Ho-Kus, John Gilsenan of Ho-Ho-Kus, and David Gilsenan of Ho-Ho-Kus, and ﬁve grandchildren. McPhillips of Mahwah died Jan. 1. He was Geraldine T. Cooke 77. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. Before retiring in 1995, he was employed by Ramapo College. He is survived by his wife Lillian, nee Hallissey, his children Lillian of Goshen, NY, Patrick McPhillips of Bradenton, FL, Kevin of Waldwick, Erin Zuidervliet of River Edge, four grandchildren and his siblings Robert McPhillips and Eleanor Gudat. Nelson of Franklin Lakes died Jan. 4. He was 77. Before retiring he was group vice president corporate technology with Witco Corporation. He was a member of Ridgewood Country Club. He is survived by his wife Audrey of Franklin Lakes, his children, Holly Rickert and Scott Nelson of Wyckoff, and seven grandchildren. Paul Edwin “Potsy” Portsmore of Ho-Ho-Kus died on Jan. 5. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He was a part owner of Sequoia Tree Service. After retiring he worked with Almstead Tree Service and Paul Cowie Associates. He has been a Certiﬁed Tree Expert (CTE # 156) since 1968, International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certiﬁed Arborist, member of the Shade Tree Federation, Arborist Association, current chairman of the Ho-Ho-Kus Tree Commission, past president of the NJISA and current Community Forestry Council member. He was named Arborist of the Year in 2004. He was an active member of the Ho-Ho-Kus Fire Department, past chief and past president of the Ho-Ho-Kus Fire Department, life member of the NJ State Fireﬁghter’s Association, current president of the Ho-Ho-Kus Exempt Fireman’s Association and member of the NJ State Fire Chief’s Association. In addition, he was a past president of the Ho-Ho-Kus Blood Donors Association. He is survived by his wife Eleanor, nee Hughes, his children Pamela Erin Anderson, Paul Jr. and Timothy John, ﬁve grandchildren, and his sisters Virginia Priestner and Barbara Stuhr. He is survived by his children Robin R. Rizzo of Mahwah, Edward Rizzo of Fruitland Park, Florida, Glenn of Leesburg, Virginia and Todd of Gunter, Texas, 10 grandchildren, and his brother Paul Rizzo.
