Page 8 THE VILLADOM TIMES III • February 4, 2009 Area Saddle River Day School’s production of Oscar Wilde’s classic comedy of manners, “The Importance of Being Ernest,” was recently nominated for two High School Theater Awards by Montclair State University. Justin Clark, a senior from Ridgewood, received a nomination for Actor in a Leading Role in a Comedy. English teacher Margaret Talbot, who directed the production, and Jeff Virchow, who served as technical and lighting director, received a nomination for Achievement in Scenic Design. Saddle River Day School earns award nominations The awards honor the best of high school drama in New Jersey. Out of 50 high schools that entered the competition, the Department of Theater and Dance at Montclair State recognized just 25 schools. “It is gratifying to see that the hard work and dedication of the entire cast and crew has been recognized by MSU, a leader in teacher training and development for the performing arts,” said Performing Arts Department Chair Jacki Moro. Kenneth Markman of Waldwick was recently promoted to vice president/leasing division of Lakeland Bank in Montville. Markman joined Lakeland Bank in 2006 as an assistant vice president/senior credit analyst in the leasing division. He is a coach for the Waldwick Baseball Association and Saint Luke’s basketball and a member of the Bergen County Foster & Adoptive Parents Association. Markman holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Rider College. He resides in Waldwick with his wife Marylou and four children. Other Montville promotions announced by Thomas J.
