Ho-Ho-Kus Jottings Collection for migrant workers underway Saint Bartholomew’s Church is currently collecting toiletries for the migrant workers who arrive in early April to plant the onion fields in Goshen, New York. New toiletries can be left at the church, which is located at 70 Sheridan Avenue in Ho-Ho-Kus. Bob Kane exhibits Celery Farm photos During the month of February, the Worth-Pinkham Memorial Library in Ho-Ho-Kus will be showing photographs by Bob Kane. The exhibit, “An Unfamiliar Light: Images of the Celery Farm,” captures both wildlife and landscape and some aspects of this natural area in Allendale. The library is located at 91 Warren Avenue in HoHo-Kus. Foundation schedules fundraiser The Ho-Ho-Kus Education Foundation’s Annual Auction Gala and Dinner Dance will be held on Saturday, Feb. 28 at the Park Ridge Marriott. The theme for this year’s event is “Celebrating the Fine Art of Education.” The gala is the education foundation’s primary fundraising event of the year, with all proceeds from the auction funding a variety of teacher-requested grants and schoolwide initiatives. The foundation is currently seeking taxdeductible auction items and cash donations to help fund these grants. Library service for homebound or sick available The Worth-Pinkham Memorial Library in Ho-Ho-Kus provides a delivery service for the elderly, homebound, or sick. A resident will be delivering books to borough residents on the first or third Thursday afternoon of each month. Books will be delivered after 2 p.m. Residents can decide which day they would like delivery. To receive books at home, call the library on the Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday before delivery. A librarian will take name, address, phone number and book requests. Participants must have a current library card. The staff will assist residents in applying for one. Book requests will be filled as best as possible with the understanding that new and popular books may not be available when first requested. Delivery is one Thursday per month only. Requests must be made during library hours. Messages left on the answering machine will not be filled. There will be no late fees for overdue books with this service. Call (201) 445-8078.
